this is not just the first time i've heard the tarsier in my province even way back in my boy age (1994) i've known this creature in a trade conducted in Madrid wherein a manobo man sell a tarsier taken from lofty mountains of Puyat. in my highschool years (2002) i've conducted an informal interviews among locals of carcanmadcarlan regarding the existence of tarsier i found out that they have known this as "mago" in a local dialect. knowing also the term it had similar meaning in the "mago" term given by boholanons for tarsiers. in my schooling at STC Tandag my teacher, Mrs. Verano, informed us about the rumors of tarsier existence at Lanuza in our biology class. in my stay at Tandag im happened to see a tarsier caught at San Miguel and sold at downtown Tandag. hoping that CARCANMADCARLANons will never die out for the continuous protection and preservation of this creature. that in the future not only bohol is known for its tarsier but also us. the greatest challenge is that, would be this tarsier is a different subspecies or just same?? i would liked to stress that there were about 2 kinds of species we have in the world the other was in Indonesia.since the philippines is a archipelago, a great difference could exist among similar related genus in different isolated islands.see..... THINK ABOUT IT!!
