Mamanwa and Manobo tribes rally for the stoppage of Ventura Timber Corp. logging operation

Cortez, Surigao del Sur (August 19, 2010) — The Mamanwa and Manobo, two of the indigenous people, in Tandag, Cortez and Lanuza, all in the province of Surigao del Sur, voice their opposition to the large–scale logging plan of Ventura Timber Corporation (VTC) in the Mamanwa and Manobo ancestral domain.
